Literature Text

Drain the colors from the trees
Watch it all fall to the ground
We all fall like leaves
And are crushed underfoot
Lonely we sink underground
Vainly seeking a sound all our own
From instinct we each play our sad song
Watching to see if anyone's crying along

From birth we were marked with a beautiful pain
'till death our hands are black with its stain
In life we blur the line of genius and insane
Our death is as our birth, a beautiful curse

For now we see as through a mirror dimly
But then face to face,
Oh, what a beautiful pain
this is some of my earlier stuff; I still think it has something to it.
